Lee Carver's book was well-written, you felt the emotions behind some of the truly amazing situations she had while living overseas in several different countries with her family.
She wrote about some tense moments that happened to her family and friends as well some that made me laugh-out-loud. It was a great read and very enjoyable.
If you love reading books about travel, you'll adore this one.
The author is my friend and she has had many interesting experiences around the world. You will enjoy this book if you choose it.
I like to read autobiographical books and this is a travelogue with a difference. Working as an expat in many different countries over several decades is fodder for collecting many good anecdotes. I like the pleasant and humorous tone in which these stories are shared. I also enjoy the wisdom that comes with the years of experience of foreign life and culture that the author has. I think anyone living or planning to live abroad could find this book beneficial. It is a lively and fun read anyway with some great insights into family dynamics of an expat family.
